Who would have thought a tranquil place like this exists just a 30 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur? It sure does. This Templer Park Rainforest Retreat home stay-like establishment is run by the Saw family.
The place is equipped with timber huts, hammocks, great and handy outdoor kitchen with BBQ facility and a nearby fishing pond. One of its timber huts’ upper deck overlooks the famous Bukit Takun, lakes and golf courses. My family and I were there for a two-nights stay to soak in the surrounding.
Armed with the X-T1, my simple aim was to capture and interpret the intertwined relationship between man-made dwelling and its surrounding nature by emphasising on the prevailing colour, texture, naturally-found lines and shapes afforded by everyday simple objects.
