The usual year-end excursion to Kuching, Sarawak unfolds; my much-favoured and anticipated outdoorsy adventure destination. This time, it was a boat ride into the jungle in the vicinity of Bengoh dam. We hiked through the jungle to visit an orang asli village and to enjoy a spectacular waterfall nearby.
My first time setting foot in Hong Kong, a land of rude awakening, literally. Barely a day into this short 5-days trip, I developed a somewhat discomforting knot in my stomach. This trip coincided with the aftermath of Typhoon Hato; in fact, I arrived just about 5 days after the natural disaster subsided.
Spending a short one week summer in Helsinki was an exciting experience as it was my first time visiting a Scandinavian country. Much of the excitement stemmed from the many things I've read and seen in media about the culture, climate, education and economic prowess of the Nordic countries.
Unfortunately, it was a really short stay but it was indeed an exhilarating opportunity to explore the visual makeup of the bustling central business district and the amazing tranquility of coastal outdoors.
During my trip to visit a friend in Adelaide, Australia, I took the opportunity to undertake some children photography of Emma. She's two years old, energetic, playful, inquisitive, smart and cute.
I took these photos at the park just outside my friend's home, accompanied by the late setting of the evening sun.
I first worked with Edmund Bon from Loyar Burok back in end 2012 which also coincided with some pro bono work I did for Loyar Barang then. 3 years on, Edmund called me unexpectedly to explore working together on a photo shoot for his newly merged law firm AmerBon. Prior to this, Edmund has been running his own firm at Bon Advocates for a year.
The brief was simple. Make them look like, NOT lawyers! At least for the casual shots.
