Vietnam hasn't been the most memorable place for me. My previous visit to Ho Chi Minh city back in 2012 was marred by an unpleasant experience of a fortunately foiled snatch theft on wheels.
Almost 4 years on and wiser, I am now more careful photographing on the streets without a dangling camera strap! Being the second time in Vietnam, this time much further up north, I was actually expecting colder weather. However, the entire 4-days trip was unusually blazing hot!
It was the first day of Raya celebration and I've decided to head out on a photo day trip to the Malaysian country side with a friend. We started our journey from PJ at 8.00 am along a trunk road going up north.
The aim was to take an aimless drive up north along these old and forgotten towns, and stop as and when necessary should a photo opportunity arises. No pressure, no deadlines, no plans. Just us, the road and the camera.
