Merck Women’s Network hi-tea at Majestic Hotel

In recognition of women's contribution to MSD's corporate success, a Merck Women's Network kick-off hi-tea was held at the Colonial Cafe, Majestic Hotel. MSD genuinely believes that women matter. Women are highly-valued, high impact contributors to an organisation's success. Special guest, Prof Datin Dr. Adeeba Kamarulzaman was present to officiate the event and gave an honest but inspiring talk on the importance of women in upholding their ambitions and balancing between work and family.

Scoop Cafeteria

I got the most unexpected of calls just recently and at a moment's notice, I found myself in an enviable position to be working with the Equatorial Group to photograph one of its newly opened eatery. They have just launched a new executive dining facility on the 8th floor of Menara Dion, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur. It's simply called the Scoop. Scoop is not your regular cafeteria or restaurant. Food is delicious, no doubt about it, but upon setting one's foot into the cafeteria, one is greeted by a fantastic work of art by itself; posh and contemporary flavours of intricate ID works.

Petronas Twin Towers, Kuala Lumpur

The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lumpur is perhaps the most photographed iconic landmark in Malaysia by both professionals and tourists alike. It was getting late and I was in the midst of wrapping up a wedding dinner reception event photo shoot nearby in KL. I took a break and looked up to see this majestic glowing structure in the distance. I did not have a tripod with me but I was determined to assume a steady hand held position with the 5D Mark 3, by bracing my tight grip against my own body and holding my breath.

A Slice of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

After an eventful day trip out to the country side yesterday, the adventure continues for a second day; this time down to Kuala Lumpur city. My friend and I were taking advantage of the festive season's much welcome void and "peaceful lull", resulting from the exodus of people who left to celebrate Raya back home with their families. We arrived at about 7.30 am and easily found a parking nearby at Madras Lane. Ironically as a Malaysian myself, this is my first time walking the city streets of Kuala Lumpur with an intention to photograph any subject matter!
