Summer in Helsinki
Spending a short one week summer in Helsinki was an exciting experience as it was my first time visiting a Scandinavian country. Much of the excitement stemmed from the many things I've read and seen in media about the culture, climate, education and economic prowess of the Nordic countries. Unfortunately, it was a really short stay but it was indeed an exhilarating opportunity to explore the visual makeup of the bustling central business district and the amazing tranquility of coastal outdoors.

A Glimpse of Adelaide and South Australia
It's my second visit to Australia in ten years; this time exploring South Australia's cosmopolitan coastal capital of Adelaide. Unfortunately, it was only a short one week trip which coincided with pretty much the height of summer. Thankfully, my arrival was met with a short respite from the heat; a somewhat cooler and more pleasant weather. As always, a southern hemisphere location means great directional lighting and clear - almost insanely surreal - blue skies.

Sri Lanka: First Look
It has been my first time visiting Sri Lanka, formerly known as Ceylon, an island situated south of India in the Indian ocean. This short 5 day trip to Sri Lanka saw me spending only 1 day in Colombo, while the rest of my time was spent at the vicinity of Mirissa beach, Galle Fort and the rest at Ella, the "Cameron Highlands" of Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, the only camera I had with me; the Fuji X-T1 broke down on me on the very first day!
